Uncle Leong Seafood started its legacy Ang Mo Kio and now has popular branches in Punggol, Kaki Bukit, and Toa Payoh. They’re known for fresh seafood, especially their “Shimmering Sand Crab Delight,” a favourite since 2002. This dish features a large crab with their special sauce and crispy oats for a delicious mix of flavours. Their menu also offers a range of well-prepared seafood dishes.

While Uncle Leong’s is a solid seafood option, it might not be the most innovative. The focus is on classic Singaporean flavors and dishes but executed well!

Not impressed with Uncle Leong this time. The Chilli Crab was a bit of a letdown – the sauce lacked the depth of flavour I expect, and it was a bit too sweet for my preference. The crab itself wasn’t the freshest, and the flesh was a bit mushy in some parts.

Uncle Leong Seafood was a good experience overall. We went to the Punggol location on a Friday night, so it was quite crowded and we had to wait for a table for about 30 minutes.
The star of the show was definitely the seafood. We ordered the chili crab and it was fantastic! The crab was fresh and meaty, and the sauce was flavorful with a good amount of spice (we requested a medium spice level). We also tried the Guinness pork ribs, which were a nice change of pace from the seafood. The ribs were tender and flavorful, with a hint of sweetness from the Guinness.

Uncle Leong Seafood lives up to the hype, especially for their black pepper crabs. The sauce is incredibly flavorful – rich, peppery, and with a hint of sweetness. The Sri Lankan crabs are fresh and perfectly cooked, soaking up all that delicious goodness. They offer other crab dishes like the chilli crab, but the black pepper crab is the true star. The service is friendly and attentive. While the ambiance is casual, it’s clean and comfortable.

Uncle Leong Seafood was the perfect spot for our recent family dinner! They have a huge selection of crab dishes, making it a crab lover’s paradise. We stuck with the classic chili crab, and it did not disappoint – incredibly flavorful and delicious.
For those looking to venture beyond crab, the Guinness pork ribs are a must-try. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor. Overall, a great choice for a casual and satisfying meal!
