Having stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, we just had to try their Colony buffet, which had been getting rave reviews online. And let me tell you, the Colony buffet was absolutely banging! There was everything you could imagine, from piles of fresh seafood and sushi to roasts you could carve yourself and curries that tasted like they came straight from India. Everything felt super posh and tasted amazing. The restaurant itself looked really classy, all posh and traditional. The staff were brilliant, just like you’d expect at the Ritz-Carlton, really looked after you.
Zén was an absolute knockout! The restaurant looked incredible – all clean lines and Scandi vibes, but still felt posh. The staff were brilliant, knew their stuff and made the whole night feel really special. The tasting menu was amazing! Every course looked like a tiny masterpiece and tasted even better. Perfect for a fancy meal if you’re after something a bit different in Singapore.
Araya was a truly special night out! The restaurant looked amazing – all sleek and stylish, but still felt posh. The staff were brilliant, really helpful and made you feel looked after. The food itself was incredible! Everything looked like a work of art and tasted even better. Perfect for a fancy meal if you’re visiting Singapore.
This laksa was amazing! The creamy broth was full of flavour and the noodles were a great texture. It wasn’t too spicy, which was perfect for me (coming from the UK!). The fishcake was a real highlight – like a spicy fish sausage packed with flavour.
Stumbled upon Roast Paradise while exploring a hawker centre. This place is all about the roast meats! We shared a platter of char siew and roasted duck – both were really tasty. The char siew had a nice caramelized char, and the duck skin was super crispy. It’s not fancy, but the food is delicious and it’s a great way to experience Singaporean hawker culture. I wished there are more such food in the UK!
Tried the Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang after seeing it online. The rice was good – nice coconut flavor. The chicken was a bit too spicy for me, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the breading. It came with all the usual trimmings – cucumber, peanuts, and a fried egg – which were okay. Overall, decent but not amazing. Maybe I should have tried a different type of chicken
Great first taste of Hainanese chicken rice! The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the rice was fragrant with ginger and chicken broth. It’s a simple dish, but done really well. The price was reasonable, and the staff were friendly. Be prepared for a line, but it’s worth a try if you’re visiting Singapore!
This place is buzzing! We shared a bunch of dishes, including the water spinach with chilli – delicious and but too hot for me! The highlight was the stir-fried prawns with salted egg – crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Didn’t expect such good steak here, but the U.S. Angus ribeye was amazing! Tender and cooked perfectly.
Had to try the famous Singaporean chilli crab at Mellben Seafood, and it did not disappoint! The crab was enormous and cooked to perfection – the meat was sweet and succulent, and the sauce had a perfect balance of spice and tang. We also got the cereal prawns, which were lighter but still incredibly flavourful. Everything was fresh and delicious,

Absolutely loved the noodles here! It had this brilliant smoky flavour that you don’t always get back home.
