Didn’t know Zheng Zhi Wen Ji got into the michelin guide. Tried the pig organ soup and kway chap. The queue during weekend peak hours can get really long, not really sure if its worth it. The soup was clear and flavourful, and the serving size was pretty good. The kway chap was just okay, though, and the portion was a bit small. I added big intestines for an extra $2-3, but they still had a slight smell, can’t be perfect.
Nam Kee. Old school restaurant at upper thomson. I had the chicken rice and some zi char dishes. The steamed chicken was great, and really juicy, the rice was flavourful but not greasy, and I loved the ginger and chili.
Nice bowl of curry chicken noodles. The curry is a medium on the spice scale, fragrant and mid heavy, comes packed with ingredients like potato, thin fish cake, tender chicken, taupok, and bean sprouts. $6 bowl very generously topped.
Here for Laksa Labo review. Atas laksa but not that expensive ($13). Thick broth. deliciously rich and tasty. very lemak. Nice ambience and service. deserving of a full 5 out of 5.
If you’re not a “strong mouth taster”, Janggut would suit you better than 328 laksa as the soup/broth is less intense. Pretty much just across the road. I would try both though. =)

Huphong chicken rice is thumbsup tasty, heir chili sauce deserves an award. Rice is so fluffy and not mushy. Good stuff.

Good laksa. Soup could have been richer but it is flavourful enough. But abit far as I live in the east so I’ll leave the queueing to the westsiders.
Prolly top 3 along with 328 laksa and Laksa Labo.
328 Laksa has the thickest & strongest coconut Laksa. Still on the look out for a better one. I need that OOOMPH.
