Ponggol Nasi Lemak wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was decent. The rice was a bit on the sticky side for my preference. However, the fried chicken wing was perfectly crispy and fresh, a real highlight. The otak-otak was okay, but a bit overpriced in my opinion.

This popular stall is a lunchtime favorite! Be prepared for a line during peak hours, but trust us, it’s worth the wait. Their cuttlefish nasi lemak is a real crowd-pleaser – a unique dish you don’t see everywhere in Singapore. The flavorful sauce is perfectly balanced, offering a delightful taste of Malaysian nasi lemak. And let’s not forget the fried chicken – it’s incredibly tender and juicy, the perfect complement to the flavorful rice.

This place has become a go-to for me and my visiting friends! The Coconut Club offers simple yet high-quality dishes, with their fried chicken being a true standout. It always has a pleasant and welcoming vibe, even though it can get crowded. Perfect for a casual and delicious Singaporean experience!

Nostalgic charm meets delicious comfort food at Nam Kee! This restaurant has been a neighborhood staple for decades, offering both classic chicken rice and a wide variety of zi char dishes. It’s not fancy, but that’s part of its charm – a warm and welcoming space with an old-school vibe. Perfect for a casual family meal where everyone can find something they love.

While the chicken rice wasn’t mind-blowing, the free-flow achar was fantastic! The chunky vegetables were perfectly crisp and refreshing, a delightful counterpoint to everything else. The garlic chips on the chicken were a nice touch, adding a surprising burst of flavor. The soups were also impressive.

We’ve been longtime fans of this popular chicken rice restaurant, especially with how convenient it is being close to home. They specialize in kampung chicken rice, and we always have a hard time deciding between the steamed and roasted options. Personally, I lean towards the roasted chicken – it’s incredibly tender and melts in your mouth. But hey, both are delicious! One of the best parts about this place is the wide variety of zi char dishes on the menu, making it perfect for a family meal.

This is a restaurant we love for chicken rice, but it’s even better for families because they have a whole menu of other dishes to choose from. My kids especially love the tofu and pork ribs in addition to the chicken rice!

Our recent anniversary dinner at Vue took romance to new heights (literally!). The restaurant boasts a jaw-dropping view of Marina Bay Sands, transforming our celebration into a scene straight out of a movie.

But Vue isn’t just about the view (although, wow!). The culinary artistry on display was phenomenal. Each course was a symphony of flavors, a testament to the meticulous preparation and top-notch ingredients. Seriously, it was food that demanded to be photographed before devouring (but let’s be honest, it didn’t last long on the plate!).

The attentive and friendly service team truly elevated the experience. They were like invisible guardians, ensuring our every need was met without ever interrupting the flow of the evening.

Vue provided the perfect blend of elegance, breathtaking views, and culinary excellence. It was an anniversary we won’t soon forget! Highly recommend for anyone seeking a truly special occasion with an unforgettable atmosphere.

The aroma of prawn broth enticed me into trying their Dry Prawn Noodles, a dish that boasts the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition! It arrived sizzling in a claypot, the sweet and savory broth bubbling merrily. Each spoonful was a delightful dance of flavors, infused with the essence of fresh prawns.

The real party was in the seafood. Succulent prawns mingled with bouncy tobiko prawn balls, a playful contrast against the tender shabu shabu pork. To round out the experience, I opted for a delightful textural combination: springy yellow noodles and silky smooth bee hoon (rice vermicelli).
