It’s really an OK standard.

Happy to see this chicken rice shop still thriving! Despite the crowd, I only had a short wait for a table. It had been a while since my last visit, but the chicken remains delicious – just as good as I remembered. The portion of rice could be a bit bigger, but the zi char options are a great way to complement your meal. While the fish maw soup was flavorful, it leaned more towards a seafood soup with a strong ginger taste.

Longstanding favorite at Yu Hua! This stall’s reputation precedes them, even before their Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. Be prepared for a queue, but the wait might be worth it. While some items sell out quickly, there are still delicious options to choose from.

I opted for the char siew noodles with additional roast duck. The char siew lived up to memory – lean, sweet, and featuring a delightful caramelized exterior with a crispy texture. Fans of fattier char siew might want to look elsewhere. The springy noodles were a perfect match for both the included chili sauce and pickled green chilies. Even without the Wantan, the flavorful broth retained a pleasant depth.
