What I like here is their basmati rice nasi lamak and sambal. Its a good plate. Their Nasi Padang usually sells out by early afternoon so if you’re coming here for breakfast or brunch, try them out.
Newton Stall 44 is my go to if I want Indian food. Naans, butter chicken, tandoori. Dependable high impact taste. I usually order a side of naans to go along my Satays.
Newton Stall 31 is a decent spot for BBQ Stingray and Crab. What I liked here is the well-cooked stingray and and the sambal sauce, which was spicy and matched the stingray well. The chincalok on the side was a nice add.
What I liked here is the shrimp soup base, which is incredibly aromatic and full of prawn flavour. Even though there’s no extra broth, the rich prawn essence makes it a great value. The dry noodles are also infused with a lovely prawn scent from the chilli oil sauce. Portions run small, common due to cost of prawns. I would upsize or order 2 bowls if you’re a big eater.
What I liked here is the great choice of local craft beers on tap, all served in ice-cold glasses. It’s a refreshing way to complement your satays and seafood at newton.
What I liked here at Bee Heng Satay, BBQ Prawn & Otah is the perfectly grilled pork and chicken satay. The pork wasn’t overly charred, and the chicken was tender and flavourful. Both were complemented by a traditional Hainanese pineapple sauce that hit all the right notes. It’s a satisfying taste of satay done right.
22 Best Satay is a safe bet for grilled meats at Newton. Great food and friendly service. Even those new to local dishes will enjoy their meal here. It’s popular, so be prepared to wait.
This is my favourite stall if I have to have seafood at Newton. The sambal is punchy with a robust onion flavour, complementing the tender, fresh stingray cooked to perfection. It easily surpasses Stall 31 and 27 in taste. The stingray arrives hot, spicy, and packed with flavour.

Newton Old Signboard 25 is a decent spot for CKT and Hokkien mee at Newton. Good amount of Wok hei. Can try.
100% must try their Musang King Mousse. Great finish for any meal, especially if you’re having seafood at Newton.
