Disappointed by the Hype
While Chatterbox is known for its legendary chicken rice, my recent experience fell short of expectations. The chicken itself was overcooked, resulting in a dry texture. Honestly, it wasn’t much better than what you’d find at a hawker center stall.
Now, I understand Chatterbox has a reputation for its premium offerings, but for the price, the experience felt entirely uninspired and forgettable. Honestly, nothing justified the high cost. If you’re looking for truly exceptional chicken rice, I wouldn’t recommend Chatterbox based on this visit. There are many other fantastic options in Singapore that offer better value for money.

Chatterbox’s inviting and elegant ambiance sets the stage for a truly delightful dining experience. The chicken rice set is a must-try – a symphony of flavor presented with beautiful finesse. Every element showcases the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients, resulting in a culinary journey that transcends expectations. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Chatterbox offers a taste of Singaporean tradition at its finest.

This chicken rice stall offers a delicious take on the classic Singaporean dish. While the price point might be higher than some other options, it’s worth considering the location and overall experience. There are definitely many great chicken rice options in Singapore, so it might be helpful to compare prices and styles to find the best fit for you.

Chatterbox is alright! The food itself is decent – especially the chicken rice, which lived up to the hype. It was tasty and well-cooked, on par with other good chicken rice spots in Singapore. But for the price tag, I was hoping for something a little more mind-blowing.
The presentation was on point, though! All the dishes looked super pretty. Service could use some work – seemed like some of the staff were still learning the ropes, which made things a bit slow at times.
The restaurant itself has a nice vibe, and the fancy plating definitely adds to the experience. Overall, it was a decent meal, but I’m not sure I’d rush back for the chicken rice considering the price. If you’re looking for a good sit-down meal with a nice atmosphere, Chatterbox is worth a try, but be prepared to pay a premium.

The service here is impeccable. The newly renovated ambiance is nice and has an inviting atmosphere. The famed “most expensive chicken rice” is top-notch, as expected from a 5 star hotel restaurant. What’s more, you enjoy it in a comfortable setting with attentive service. However, the chili could pack a bit more punch I feel and the signature coconut ice cream served in a small coconut husk is a delightful surprise.

Expensive!! but probably the best rice and chilli/condiments. Very clean tasting. Is it 5 or 6 times better than the average chicken rice? I doubt it but thats not the point. Different tastes for different palates.. and wallets.
