About
The renowned wanton noodle stall, established in 1965 by Madam Lai’s parents, is now run by her daughters Kristen and Jill, who have preserved the family’s traditional recipe. The in-house base sauce, a blend of savory and slightly sweet flavors, sets these noodles apart. The standout fried wantons are exceptionally crisp and delicate, a refreshing contrast to the usual thicker varieties. The steamed wantons also impress, complemented by flavorful pork lard. Besides wanton noodles, the stall offers a variety of options including Dumpling Noodles, Braised Soya Sauce Chicken Noodles, and Shredded Chicken and Ipoh Hor Fun.

One of the unique and tasty wanton noodles. Highly recommend.

This stall has become one of my absolute favorites! I’ve visited countless times, and today’s bowl of noodles simply blew me away. It’s not just the incredible value for money (seriously, the portion size is amazing!), but the taste is a testament to the love poured into this dish.
Everything comes together beautifully: melt-in-your-mouth char siew, perfectly plump and sweet boiled wontons, plus the delightful textural contrast of fried wontons and crispy pork lard. Even the accompanying soup gets a flavor boost with the addition of sweet goji berries.

Ji Ji Noodle House might not have the official Michelin star, but their wanton noodles are legendary! The thin noodles are cooked al dente and tossed in a delicious sauce with a hint of sweetness. The real stars of the show are the wontons – plump and juicy dumplings filled with perfectly seasoned minced pork. Be prepared to wait though, as this stall is popular and the queue can get long. The wonton noodles are the clear winner. Overall, a must-try for any wanton noodle enthusiast,

Ji Ji Noodle House’s wanton mee reminds me of the good old days. The flavor profile is slightly sweet, like the way wanton mee used to be. The noodles are springy, the char siew is lean and tender, and the wantons are a delightful mix of textures. A great choice if you are in the vicinity!

Char Siew Wanton Mee. It features both crispy fried and juicy boiled wantons, fresh vegetables, and melt-in-your-mouth lard. The char siew is perfectly balanced, with a mix of tender fatty and lean cuts. The al dente noodles tie everything together beautifully.

Highly recommend. I like how they have a ton of different things going on compared to a standard bowl of wanton mee. Top 3?
