  • Honestly, Lai Fa Bar’s char siew is so good, it almost steals the show from the wanton mee! The tender meat with its perfect caramelization is a must-order. Do note it’s located in quite in an industrial area.

  • They does two things exceptionally well – noodles and char siew. The noodles are cooked nicely, give a mixed of the lard oil, song! The char siew is juicy, flavorful, and has a nice char. Will eat here every time if I come meet client.

  • Don’t let the industrial location fool you! Lai Fa Bar has a surprisingly cozy ambiance. The retro décor gives it a bit of a nostalgic charm, perfect for a casual meal. The food at Lai Fa Bar is tasty, but the prices are a bit higher than what you’d find at a hawker center. For the price point, the portions could be a tad bigger.

  • This place is all about the char siew! Their signature “Bu Jian Tian” style is phenomenal – tender, smoky, and bursting with flavor. Absolutely worth the trip for any char siew lover. No regrets!

  • Lai Fa Bar hits the spot! The noodles were springy, the broth flavorful, and the wantons packed with juicy pork. While the portions are decent, they could be a bit bigger for the price.

  • Love their char siew, its absolutely legendary! The caramelized glaze is insanely flavorful, the pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and there’s a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a hint of char. Be prepared to wait though as this place is popular, and the queue can get long, especially on weekends.

  • Tucked away in an industrial area, Lai Fa Bar surprised me! Their signature “Bu Jian Tian” char siew is melt-in-your-mouth good, with a smoky char and caramelized sweetness.

  • Stumbled upon this amazing place recently and it definitely impressed! The star of the show was their char siew. They even let you choose how fatty you like it, which is a nice touch. We went for the “special cut” char siew, and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender with perfectly caramelized edges.

The wonton noodles were another winner. Springy egg noodles paired with delicious wontons and a flavorful broth.

Overall, a fantastic find! Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the neighborhood

  • Car in the shop, time to treat myself!

While my car was getting some services nearby, I decided to finally try the famous Laifabar. Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! Their signature “Bu Jian Tian” char siew is legendary – melt-in-your-mouth tender, smoky, and bursting with flavor. It’s paired perfectly with springy QQ egg noodles and a crispy wonton for a truly satisfying combo.

The soup here isn’t your average watery broth. They use dried scallops to create a rich, flavorful base that seriously elevates the whole dish. Sure, it might be a tad pricier than other places, but you can taste the quality in every bite. Everything here feels like it’s made with care.

Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area (and even if your car isn’t!).

  • Don’t be fooled by the industrial estate location – Lai Fa Bar serves up some of the most delicious char siew noodles you’ll find in Singapore! Their specialty is the “Bu Jian Tian” char siew, a cut of pork known for its incredible tenderness. Each bite is a flavor explosion – the char siew is perfectly caramelized with a touch of smokiness, and the noodles are springy and tossed in a savory-sweet sauce.

  • This was my first visit to Lai Fa Bar, and it won’t be my last! The noodles were absolutely phenomenal – some of the best I’ve ever had. The broth was flavorful, the ingredients fresh, and everything came together perfectly.

  • Lived up to the hype! This cozy eatery, with seating for around 20, has been popping up all over social media lately, and for good reason. I arrived right after opening and luckily avoided a queue, but it filled up fast as lunchtime approached.

Their signature noodles are a must-try. The perfectly cooked al dente egg noodles are a great base for the delicious toppings: soup wantons, crispy fried wantons, char siew (lean, mixed, or fatty), a decadent lava egg, and some fresh HK kai lan. The wantons are plump and packed with flavorful meat, wrapped in a thin and delicate skin.

For a taste of both worlds, try the Combination Platter. It features their signature Bu Jian Tian char siew (sweet and caramelized with a touch of char) and their delicious roast pork. The char siew is a perfect balance of sweet and savory, with a delightful fattiness that melts in your mouth. The roast pork boasts a satisfyingly crispy crackling and juicy meat. Both meats are served with two dipping sauces: a chili sauce and a mustard sauce, both of which complement the flavors perfectly.

Bonus! They even offer a complimentary piece of sugar biscuit to enjoy while you wait for your meal.

  • This restaurant in an industrial area might surprise you! Their signature char siew is a popular choice, featuring perfectly cooked pork belly and a delightful balance of sweetness and char on the skin. It’s definitely worth a try!

They also have other options on the menu, like signature noodle and rice sets with fried wontons. The service is friendly and efficient, and the décor has a fun, retro vibe with some 80s touches. It’s no wonder they have a steady stream of customers!

  • Laifabar offers a premium version of Wonton Mee that lives up to its slightly higher price tag. Here’s why it stands out:

Signature “Bu Jian Tian” Char Siew: The star of the show is undoubtedly their signature char siew. This melt-in-your-mouth delight features tender, moist, and fatty slices with a smoky flavor. Each bite bursts with deliciousness.

QQ Egg Noodles & Wontons: Laifabar pairs the char siew with perfectly cooked QQ (springy) egg noodles and a crispy wonton.

Flavorful Soup: Forget the standard light broth! Laifabar uses dried scallops in their soup, resulting in a rich and flavorful base that complements the rest of the dish.

Exceptional Quality: While not the cheapest option, Laifabar prioritizes quality ingredients and execution. All components of the dish are prepared with care.

Keep in mind: Laifabar is located in a slightly remote industrial area. However, for those seeking a top-tier Wonton Mee experience, the journey is well worth it! Their friendly service is another plus.
