Reviews & Ratings
This is a branch of Michelin selected Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang in Yishun Park Hawker Centre. They are known for Indonesian-style nasi lemak and other Nasi Lemak based dishes made up of traditional coconut milk rice with chicken and sambal sauce. Patrons have often praised their chicken for being tender, their taliwang for having a full flavour, very tasty sambal and hot flavourful banana leaf wrapped rice. Try Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang, Nasi Lemak Ayam Belada.

Tried the outlet at lau pa sat and got the Taliwang set. Very good and punchy sambal. Taliwang gravy was very nice as well with a peanuty taste similar to satay sauce. Rice was aromatic but I felt it was abit too lemongrass-gingery? I prefer the more coconut-ty basmati versions that have been popping up. Chicken was ok, nothing stood out as it and was overshadowed by the taliwang sauce. The ikan bilis was pretty generic and it didn’t help that I got more peanuts than ikan. Overall very good sambal but I felt the dish needed more texture to make it “shiok”, like the little delicious fried bits you get with ayam berempah or ayam penyet, or the sugared ikan bilis you get at nasi padang stalls. Punch my buds a few more times and I’ll give the 5 stars.

Tasted the same as the OG branch over at Yishun. Chicken was juicy and the sambal sauce was great. The taliwang sauce had a nice kick without making your mouth do the cha-cha. The rice smelled amazing, crispy fried ikan bilis, fresh cucumber. Overall highly recommended 4.5/5.
