Shisen Hanten

Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro in Singapore is the first international outpost of Japan’s beloved Szechwan restaurant, Shisen Hanten. The restaurant’s story began in 1958 when Chen Kenmin, known as the “Father of Szechwan cuisine” in Japan, founded the original establishment. His son, Chen Kenichi, dubbed the “Szechwan Sage,” became a celebrated Iron Chef in Japan and carried on the family legacy. Now helmed by third generation Chef Kentaro, The restaurant blends Cantonese and Sichuan dishes, offering a menu that features Shisen Hanten’s signature flavours alongside traditional Cantonese dishes. Shisen Hanten has been recognized in the Michelin Guide Singapore since 2016.
