About
New Ubin Seafood traces its origins to Pulau Ubin, where it first gained renown for its authentic kampong-style seafood served from a modest home on the island’s north shore. After the Singapore government acquired Pulau Ubin in 1992, the restaurant moved to various locations on the mainland. These included spots at Commonwealth, Keppel Marina, Punggol Marina, the junction of 6th Avenue and Bukit Timah Road, before settling in Sin Ming Industrial Estate. Today, New Ubin Seafood offers a unique blend of American, French, Italian, and Indian influences, reflected in dishes such as USDA Black Angus “Choice” Ribeye, Garlic Baked Crab, and Smoked Pork Fried Rice, which highlight their distinctive Singaporean fusion cuisine.

A reliable option for a classic Singaporean seafood feast. Their chilli crab is good – the sauce is flavorful and has a nice kick, and the Sri Lankan crabs are fresh. They offer a variety of other dishes on the menu, like the white pepper crabs or the steamed fish, which are all decent options. The service is friendly and attentive. The price is a bit on the high side, but to be expected for fresh seafood in a central location like CHIJMES.

This place is buzzing! We shared a bunch of dishes, including the water spinach with chilli – delicious and but too hot for me! The highlight was the stir-fried prawns with salted egg – crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Didn’t expect such good steak here, but the U.S. Angus ribeye was amazing! Tender and cooked perfectly.

New Ubin definitely impressed with their seafood! The star of the show was undeniably the chili crab – incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and smothered in a delicious sauce. While the steak was good and the claypot rice boasted fantastic wok-hei flavor,

This place sure knows how to cook! Their chilli crab is damn good – super flavorful, got that spicy kick, and the gravy is thick and rich.
But the real hero? The beef! So tender and juicy, every mouthful damn shiok. Their “Heart Attack Fried Rice” – the name says it all, but damn it goes well with the steak! Super flavorful, confirm not anyhow cook one.

Our recent company lunch at New Ubin was a truly memorable culinary experience. The restaurant provided a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere, ideal for a gathering of colleagues.
The menu boasted a delightful selection of seafood dishes. We opted for the restaurant’s signature chili crab and a tempting plate of cereal prawns. Both dishes were exquisitely prepared – the chili crab showcased a rich and flavorful sauce perfectly complementing the fresh crab, while the cereal prawns offered a delightful textural contrast with their crispy coating.
A touch of whimsy came with a dish titled “heart attack” fried rice. While the name might be a bit playful, the flavor combination proved to be surprisingly satisfying.
Overall, the delicious food, combined with the pleasant atmosphere, made New Ubin a perfect choice for our company gathering.
