Review: Vineyard at Hortpark – An Escape From The Urban Rush

Nestled within the lush surroundings of Singapore’s HortPark, Vineyard at Hortpark
offers a serene retreat from the urban rush. The instagram worthy restaurant’s ambiance and decor is reminiscent of a European countryside retreat, with its picturesque setting and romantic atmosphere.

With its wooden beams and vintage touches, Vineyard’s rustic, French-inspired decor feels like you’ve stepped into a countryside retreat—minus the cows. The garden views are prime Instagram material, which might explain why it’s such a hit for weddings.

Embracing the ethos of farm-to-table, the menu includes select produce from Singapore—like frog legs from Jurong Frog Farm, or Red Snapper from a local fish farm named Atlas Aquaculture . The menu is French inspired so expect items like duck confit, Moules Mariniere abd Frog Leg En Persillade. It’s a chance to test your French culinary vocabulary—or butcher the names while savouring the flavours.

Vineyard Hortpark – Frog Leg En Persillade

The Frog Leg En Persillade ($24) kicked things off with little drumsticks fried to a crispy golden brown, served with a rich persillade sauce and tangy pickled onions—think gourmet fried chicken with a French accent.

The French Onion Soup ($15) was exactly what you want on a rainy day, hearty with a rich broth and a thick blanket of melted Gruyère.

For the main course, the Iberian Pork Tenderloin ($38) didn’t disappoint—tender, juicy, and paired with prosciutto, mushroom-stuffed cabbage, and a tangy olive tapenade.

The Risotto Aux Champignons ($24) was a hit too, creamy with a deep mushroom flavour and a satisfying crunch from roasted mushrooms.

We also tried the Eggs Benedict ($20) from the brunch menu, but the slightly overcooked egg was a bit of a bummer. The tangy hollandaise and buttery croissant made up for it, but it wasn’t quite the showstopper we were hoping for.

Vineyard at Hortpark Review

Vineyard’s focus on quality ingredients and good service makes it a solid choice for a nice night out in Singapore. Whether you’re marking a special occasion or just want a cozy dinner, this place delivers. The food’s decent and reasonably priced, and the restaurant’s rather quiet probably due to the location, which is a good thing, depending how you see it. If you’re not driving. It is a bit of a trek–but that’s the tradeoff you make for some calm and serenity.
