Been coming to Yong Kee for years for their Bak Kut Teh. The herbal broth is perfectly balanced, not overpowering, and the pork ribs are tender.

This place does Teochew-style bak kut teh right! The peppery broth is flavorful and comforting, with a subtle garlicky aroma. The prime ribs are tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

long wait times, especially on weekends. Consider making a reservation or going during off-peak hours.

KEK Seafood lives up to its reputation for amazing zi char. Their signature Moonlight Hor Fun is a must-order – flat rice noodles stir-fried in a rich and flavorful gravy with seafood and a delightful smoky wok hei. Shiok!

Mellben Seafood might not be fancy, but the food is fantastic! Their chilli crab comes with the thick, flavorful sauce. The spice level is just right – with a nice kick. They offer other delicious seafood dishes on the menu, but the chilli crab is a must-try. A great spot if you are at Ang Mo Kio.

While Ponggol Nasi Lemak is decent, there are better nasi lemak options in the area that offer more flavor and value for money. It might be worth exploring elsewhere.

Childhood fav when I was still living near this area.

Dickson Nasi Lemak is primarily a takeaway stall. However, don’t let that deter you! The flavors are more than worth finding a spot to enjoy your meal, or simply take it to go and enjoy it elsewhere. It’s a great option to experience a taste of Malaysia in Singapore.
