  • The queue at Adam Road Nasi Lemak was long, but the wait was worth it for the fragrant coconut rice. Nice aromatic rice flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but a bit on the small side. The sambal was sweet and spicy, with a good kick. Overall, a delicious nasi lemak, but be prepared for the wait.

  • I tried the Royal Rumble set at Adam Road and wasn’t disappointed! It included everything you could want in a nasi lemak – fragrant rice, crispy chicken, flavorful otak-otak, a perfectly runny egg, and a good helping of sambal. The portion size was generous and the price was reasonable.

  • VERY Shiok nasi lemak at Selera Rasa! Their coconut rice is always fragrant and fluffy with the addictive sambal chilli. The stall is at Adam Road Food Centre, so the seating area can be a bit crowded and noisy during peak hours,

  • This legendary nasi lemak stall lives up to the hype! The coconut rice is fragrant and perfectly cooked, with a touch of sweetness that pairs beautifully with the spicy sambal. The sambal itself deserves a shoutout – it packs a punch of flavor without being overpowering. Every bite is an explosion of textures and tastes, from the crispy ikan bilis to the fluffy omelette and perfectly seasoned egg

  • Selera rasa nasi lemak. Best non berempah version with sweet chili. overall great rice, great chicken, great sides. 5/5

  • Fragrant coconut rice forms the foundation, crowned with a dollop of the restaurant’s signature sambal balacan and a slice of flavorful otak. Crispy fried chicken adds a satisfying protein element, while peanuts and anchovies provide a delightful textural contrast and savory punch.

  • Just had the “Royal Flush” at Adam Road Nasi Lemak, and it truly lived up to its name! The fragrant coconut rice was perfectly complemented by the classic combination of sambal balacan and fried chicken. Each bite was a delightful explosion of textures and flavors, with the creamy otak, crunchy peanuts and ikan bilis (anchovies)?

  • Adam Road Nasi Lemak has always been a go-to spot for me, but on my recent visit, the experience wasn’t quite the same. While the sambal still delivered a punch of flavor, the rice itself seemed to lack its usual fragrant coconut aroma.

It’s possible this was a one-time occurrence, but it would be great to see the rice return to its usual standard. Overall, it was still a decent meal, but it didn’t quite live up to past experiences.

  • Adam road basmati rice nasi lemak is legendary. While it doesnt smack you as hard as the malaysian style ayam berempah’s, Selera Rasa serves a damn bloody good plate of lemak!

  • Yes, Yes and Yes. Very good Nasi Lemak and indeed the basmati rice makes all the difference. Used to come here all the time, but now that the son has made it more accessible with Crave, I go to the nearest one instead. Tho, original stall is always best. =)

  • Best rice. Best sweet chilli. Basmati just hits different. Fluffy, thin, doesnt give you that soggy mouth feel. Love it. Good nasi lemak!

  • One of the more famous nasi lemak. Selera or crave is pretty much the baseline standard for nasi lemak imo. Basmati rice and chilli are clear winners here!
