New Bahru
At the revamped One Prawn & Co, you can expect a modern twist on Asian seafood, with aged seafood grilled over wood fire. What really sets the new place place apart from Zhup Zhup is its fine dining flair, thanks to the owner’s experience at top joints like Burnt Ends and Artichoke.
If our memory still serves, we recall Zhup Zhup running a 12 course $128++ seafood grill dinner over at their Macpherson Road location. The experience was somewhat akin to an omakase and the dishes were both creative and delicious, with portions so ample that some diners had to give up midway through the fish course.
The new 80-seat restaurant will be all about comfort—you can even show up in slippers if you like. The idea is to have a great time with excellent food in a relaxed setting. Plus, there will be special events and chef collaborations, giving guests the chance to enjoy unique culinary experiences and the staff opportunities to learn. So, come for the food, stay for the vibe, and leave with a happy belly and a smile.
