They didn’t quite wow me. The char siew was a bit dry at times, and the roast pork lacked a bit of flavor. Not particularly memorable.

Be prepared to wait during peak hours, but the food is definitely worth it. The char siew is juicy and flavorful, and the crispy skin on the roast pork is addictive. The downside is the limited seating, so it can be hard to snag a table. Overall, a great spot for delicious and authentic Cantonese roast meats.

Simple is best. Their focus is on perfectly cooked meats, and it shows. The char siu is the star of the show – beautifully caramelized with a touch of char, and incredibly tender. I loved their roasted pork belly (siu yuk) with a perfectly crispy skin and melt-in-your-mouth meat. satisfying meal in amk!

Don’t be fooled by the basic hawker center setting at Spicy Wife.Their nasi lemak is anything but ordinary! The coconut rice is bursting with flavor, the chicken is crispy and juicy, and the sambal packs a spicy punch. A great choice for a delicious and affordable meal.

This place is a lifesaver for late-night nasi lemak cravings! Chong Pang Nasi Lemak hits the spot every time. The rice is fragrant and fluffy, the coconut milk isn’t overpowering, and the sambal is spicy but balanced. I usually get the chicken wing – perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Simple but delicious!

I appreciate the convenience of boneless chicken, but I felt it lacked the depth of flavor compared to traditional Hainanese chicken rice. The rice was good and the service was friendly, though. There should have more chicken rice stalls in this list that are better than Tiong Bahru.

Overhyped and Overpriced!!! Maybe I went on an off day, but Tian Tian didn’t live up to the hype. The chicken rice was decent, but not mind-blowing, and the price felt a bit high for a hawker stall. The hawker center can get crowded and noisy, making it a less than ideal dining experience.

Brought the family to Boon Tong Kee for a delicious lunch, and it did not disappoint! The chicken rice was a crowd-pleaser – the chicken was incredibly tender, and the rice was fragrant and fluffy. We also tried their crispy beancurd – light, crispy, and perfect for dipping in their flavorful sauce. The sambal kangkong was a delightful addition, adding a touch of spice and vegetable goodness. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and efficient. Great spot for a casual family meal

The chili crab at Legacy Seafood is fantastic! Rich, flavorful sauce and fresh, meaty crab. However, the portion size felt a bit small for the cost. The service was friendly, and the ambiance is casual and lively.

Tried the birthplace of Singapore’s iconic chilli crab. Their signature dish is legendary. The sauce is incredible – sweet, savory, with a hint of spice that builds slowly. The Sri Lankan crabs were fresh and meaty, perfect for soaking up all that delicious goodness. Fried mantou buns are a must-order to mop up every last drop. Highly recommend experiencing a bit of Singaporean history here!
