This chicken rice stall offers a delicious take on the classic Singaporean dish. While the price point might be higher than some other options, it’s worth considering the location and overall experience. There are definitely many great chicken rice options in Singapore, so it might be helpful to compare prices and styles to find the best fit for you.

Lived up to the hype! This cozy eatery, with seating for around 20, has been popping up all over social media lately, and for good reason. I arrived right after opening and luckily avoided a queue, but it filled up fast as lunchtime approached.

Their signature noodles are a must-try. The perfectly cooked al dente egg noodles are a great base for the delicious toppings: soup wantons, crispy fried wantons, char siew (lean, mixed, or fatty), a decadent lava egg, and some fresh HK kai lan. The wantons are plump and packed with flavorful meat, wrapped in a thin and delicate skin.

For a taste of both worlds, try the Combination Platter. It features their signature Bu Jian Tian char siew (sweet and caramelized with a touch of char) and their delicious roast pork. The char siew is a perfect balance of sweet and savory, with a delightful fattiness that melts in your mouth. The roast pork boasts a satisfyingly crispy crackling and juicy meat. Both meats are served with two dipping sauces: a chili sauce and a mustard sauce, both of which complement the flavors perfectly.

Bonus! They even offer a complimentary piece of sugar biscuit to enjoy while you wait for your meal.

This spot offers some of the best Malaysian-style nasi lemak I’ve had in Singapore, especially their aromatic chicken. The chicken is a real highlight – a generous portion, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. It’s definitely a great value for money.

Heads up, it’s takeaway only for now! This Joo Chiat shop, opened by the owner of Champion Bolo Bun, serves up some seriously delicious nasi lemak. While you’ll currently need to brave the queue (it can get hot!), good news for future visits – they’re planning to offer dine-in options soon!

I opted for the boneless chicken thighs Berempah, and it was fantastic. The coconut rice was fragrant and flavorful, but the real star was the chicken. Perfectly fried with a crispy, spiced exterior and juicy on the inside – delicious! Just a warning, the chili packs a punch, so go easy if you’re not a spice fan.

This chicken rice stall offers a classic Singaporean dish featuring kampong chicken. Whether you’re looking to dine in or take away, they provide a convenient option for a quick meal.

Their kampong chicken is known for its flavorful and authentic taste. The menu also includes popular sides like fried bean sprouts and prawn rolls, both of which are highly recommended.

This stall has been a local favorite for years, and for good reason! Their char siew is a must-try – tender with just the right amount of fat, and beautifully caramelized. The roast pork is equally impressive, with a perfectly crispy skin and melt-in-your-mouth meat.

Pair it with their classic chicken rice, a touch of chili sauce for a kick, and a steaming bowl of soup for a truly satisfying meal. The atmosphere is typical of a local coffee shop, casual and inviting.
