Hainan Zai in Chong Pang Market and Food Centre does a decent plate of Char Kway Teow. Rich, moist texture and balanced savory-sweet flavour. While I typically prefer my CKT less sweet, I found the taste pretty good and well-executed. Those who enjoy a wetter, sweeter version will likely appreciate this dish. The juicy, fresh hums were a highlight, and they aren’t stingy with it.

Not bad plate of CKt. Smoky and intense, The egg was cooked just right, adding a creamy richness to the dish. The portion size was generous and the price was very reasonable.
