For over five decades, Kok Sen has been a stalwart of local cuisine, recently relocating to a new spot along Keong Saik road in 2022. The menu showcases Zi Char classics and some notables includes their Golden Dragon Chicken, Big Prawn Hor Fun, Claypot Yong Tau Fu, and Bitter Gourd Pork Ribs. The Golden Dragon Chicken impressed with its crispy skin and tender squid paste filling, complemented by sweet and chilli sauces. The Bitter Gourd Pork Ribs were expertly braised, savoury without being overly bitter, and the meat was tender and flavourful. The secret highlight, however, was the Stir Fry Black Pepper Beef, a smoky, spicy black pepper sauce and tender meat that paired irresistibly well with rice.
