“SOMMA, for the team and I, has been many years in the making. It represents the somma (Italian for ‘sum’) of 33 years of choices—my journey from Puglia to Singapore and the world I have been fortunate enough to explore in the past years through my travels,” says Chef Febbrile.
SOMMA is not just another restaurant—it’s a “dream” that Febbrile and his team have meticulously crafted, with attention to every detail. The restaurant is a true collaboration, built with the help of skilled artisans, ceramicists, millworkers, and designers. Febbrile adds, “No detail was left out… we worked alongside skilled artisans, weavers, ceramicists, millworkers, designers, and producers to create a dining experience that we hope will inspire you.”
The restaurant will feature two distinct dining experiences: a casual pasta and cocktail bar for relaxed gatherings and an elevated fine dining space for a more refined experience. Febbrile’s commitment to redefining what’s “good” in the world of food is evident in SOMMA’s vision—a place where creativity, emotion, and craftsmanship meet.
“Every single person that I’ve met on my journey holds a fraction of this sum… There is so much more that I can’t wait to share with you; in due time,” says Febbrile. With SOMMA set to open its doors soon, food lovers can look forward to a culinary experience that blends artistry with the flavours of the Mediterranean. This new venture is sure to be a noteworthy addition to Singapore’s fine dining scene, offering a dining experience unlike any other.
SOMMA will open in September at New Bahru. Reservations are now open on https://www.somma.world/
