Bee Heng Satay has been at Newton Food Centre since 1978. They serve peanut sauce with pineapple puree, and offer pork, chicken, and mutton satay, along with BBQ tiger prawn and otah. The pork satay isn’t too charred, and the chicken satay is tender. Their Hainanese pineapple sauce pairs nicely. They also have a decent popiah.

What I liked here at Bee Heng Satay, BBQ Prawn & Otah is the perfectly grilled pork and chicken satay. The pork wasn’t overly charred, and the chicken was tender and flavourful. Both were complemented by a traditional Hainanese pineapple sauce that hit all the right notes. It’s a satisfying taste of satay done right.
